HEY SUMMER, WE'RE NOT DONE YET

While the September issue may be the fattest – it's the most highly anticipated time in magazine world after all – I struggle to garner any excitement from pages of wool coat edits while I soak up August's rays. And it seems that even by the time the October issue hits newsstands I'm still reluctant to let summer go.

We're currently being smothered with Back-to-School-Goodbye-Summer articles but, with a September weather forecast set to sizzle (make sure your plans are outside towards the end of this week and next) I'm far from bundling up my summer threads into the loft for another year.

While the waist has been pipped to take over from the shoulder as the new body part to highlight, this week's 20-degree temperatures mean a final fling or collarbone baring is definitely on the cards. I'll expose any sliver of skin to thrive in a dose of vitamin D.
