SUEDE PARADE

Spring, and in particular April, spells the return of the trench. We're all at once ready to see the back of our wool coats and thick parkas, while still a little hesitant to discard that extra layer entirely.

While trenches tend to take centre stage during the rainy season, this fair-weather suede version is a bit more niche. But it was too beautiful not to add to my basket. Just check the weather forecast before you leave / have an umbrella to hand. And it's straight leg jeans all the way after discovering this pair from Lee. Anything skinny or drainpiped is being relegated firmly to the back of my wardrobe for now.

On a side note, before we moved to Charlton I don't think I'd ever explored the South East of London properly – in particular our neighbours Blackheath and Greenwich, the latter of which boasts vast green open spaces and gargantuan, gobsmackingly beautiful buildings (the kind that have me reaching for my camera every two seconds). The park has become a favourite place to head to with my little sidekick. Ironcially I spotted three clocks with the incorrect time when strolling through there last week. Unexpected.
