MYKONOS & CASA DEL MAR
There has been a prolonged gap between now and my last post. For those of you who follow my Instagram account you'll have seen it's been a whirlwind fortnight which has included a trip to Mykonos, a new puppy and getting engaged – hence the radio silence! To say Olly and I are excited is an understatement and thank you for the kind messages you've sent over Instagram.
So here's Mykonos – better late than never – which will forever now hold a very special place in my heart. It's also one of the most photogenic places I've ever been, serving up all kinds of everything from swanky celeb-studded beach clubs (look out for Nammos in the next post) to restaurants that operate with no electricity (see the photo of Kiki's Tavern below).
We stayed in the beautiful Casa del Mar, a Small Luxury Hotel of the World, positioned on the south of the island in Aleomandra. Rather than rooms guests have the run of roomy villas, done up in the island's trademark blue-and-white, with double doors in bedrooms and sitting rooms overlooking the sparkling cove and private beach (a dream setting to recline with a book) – a pretty amazing view to drink in each morning.
I have lots more photos to sift through, but here's a start which include Casa del Mar and Mykonos Town...
