RAINBOW LEGS

Coloured tights aren't everyone's cup of tea – I didn't even know if I was sure about them (and am still not convinced by the vast majority). Even with the likes of Queen B Blair Waldorf coining them as a signature Upper East Side staple – religiously perched on the steps of The Met, legs swathed in colour – wasn't enough to sway me.

But Blair's not the only one. Suki's worn white, Freja pink. And obviously SJP's been there. It's easy to get them wrong, but keeping it simple using them to break up a wall of black (like here) is an easy trick to tackling them, and avoids them being overly frilly and girly. I can't wait to try them 'boy'ed up with a pair of black-soled Supergas and leather shorts too – see Freja below.

And if you're still not persuaded, Falke, Wolford and Tabio have a few in their selection that have the potential to silence even the most critical sock and stocking snobs.
