SAY IT WITH FLOWERS

It was a happy day when I was asked if I could test-drive Rosie & Twine – a subscription florist delivering fresh, British flowers to SW London. And this pretty bunch is what arrived at my front door just a few days later, hand-delivered by Rosie herself.

Rosie hung up her hat in the world of TV earlier this year, after growing tired of running around after celebrities (she worked on 8 Out of 10 Cats, Countdown and Derren Brown), and now heads over to Covent Garden flower market at the crack of dawn twice a week – we're talking 5am – to handpick the freshest, loveliest seasonal flowers on offer.

The Christmas present that keeps on giving (cheesy but true), this subscription-with-a-spin is genius (I'm a Condé Nast girl after all – and even before that, mag subscriptions from the dogs for Christmas were totally inspired on their part). Users can set up subscriptions on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis. Flowers come in Kilner jars and, with every bunch, £1 is donated to Friends of the Honey Bee. (Tip: request Eucalyptus in yours – the smell completely fills the room).

Rosie is offering 30% off all gift subscriptions until December 15th with the code JINGLEBELLS – head over to rosieandtwine.com for more info.
