UP IN THE EAVES

This time we tested the waters with indoor shooting, setting up in the eaves, since I wasn't willing to risk losing a limb in the less-than-spring-like temperatures.

As a little girl, the first fashion rule I remember learning from my mum was never to mix pink and red, yet now is the time to break that rule with wild abandon. It's not often (read never) I dress virtually head to toe in the same shop, and it's not exactly ground-breaking news, but this spring Topshop is nailing it. For a fresh fix of denim, a playful injection of colour and basics with just enough detail, they have all bases covered. Ironically I looked to a dress to temper the pink frills and bows – nothing a bit of tomboy denim can't sort – and shunned my usual black boots/white trainers in favour of clashing red.

And good news – both boots and top are now in the sale for a combined total of £37. Silly.
