NOT-SO-COLD WINTER

If there’s ever a time to get out of the normal swing of things it’s December. After slightly heading for hibernation once the autumnal weather hit, we’ve fully reverted back to our sociable selves we are during the summer, planning and doing, shopping and celebrating the festive season (and a number of special people also have birthdays in this awesome but busy month).
On top of this, wedmin is now fully underway. I’ve started to come to terms with the initial surprise and excitement of being engaged (not sure I’ll ever actually believe it but we’re getting there!) and I'm working with Olly, family and friends on the wedding. It may sound obvious, but it’s dawned on me that it’s like planning a lot of very big projects all for one final project – the guest list, food, flowers or (of course) dress alone could have each taken me a year’s worth of to-ing and fro-ing, researching and deciding.
So, in a round about way, sorry for getting out of sync on posting last week. Here, however, is an outfit I’ve been looking to a lot during these winter – but not cold – months. I suddenly realised a lack of grey polo neck in my wardrobe was proving problematic and it’s proved to be one of the most useful things I own. This coat by Lee has a day-to-night ease, making it another I-don’t-know-what-I-did-without-it staple that I’ve been reaching for over and over again.
