I’m just about ready to relegate my black skinny jeans to the back of my wardrobe. While I’m still hesitant to venture into the whole-hog of bare-legdom, at least a little aeration is in order.
Enter Seafolly’s easy-breezy Iceberg Pants – which I discovered browsing Beach Café’s swoon-worthy collection of beachwear (think everything from bikinis and kaftans to beach dresses) – fit for a whole lot more than just the beach. Though they’re essentially just black trousers, there’s enough detail to keep them interesting. A ruche gathering at the front, the gently-grazing-the-ankle length and the effortlessly tailored harem-esque fit. Plus they’re comfy as hell, meaning I reach for them on a work-from-home day as much as an out-and-about one.
Teamed here with an oversized cheesecloth polo/t-shirt-cross (summer’s answer to the white shirt), a wrist full of bangles and a pair of trusty Birkenstocks, exposing the first section of sun-starved photophobic flesh. Baby steps.
